During the current National Lockdown we have put in place a number of new important changes in order to keep buyers, sellers, tenants, landlords and of course our much valued staff safe.
That said, we continue to ask ourselves an important question - ARE WE DOING THINGS CORRECTLY?

After a month with a rival estate agent and a total lack of interest in my wife's house following thousands of hits on the house posted advert, we changed to Charter Whyman. What a difference from minute one, a totally professional skilled outfit. Simon reacted quickly to our particularly needs and previous frustrations giving much needed confidence. They produced an excellent house sales video and screened the virtual buyers and guess what, the first visitor produced an offer at the asking price which proceeded to completion.
I then turned my attention to selling my house. The first task with the help of Trupti and Salim in the rental section, a generous offer was made to the tenants to vacate and the CW team helped the three tenants to find good alternative accommodation in quick time. The house now free to market was again given an excellent sales video, put on the market on Thursday at 9am, virtual viewing at midday, visit at 6pm and offer the next morning at around 5% over asking price which went on to completion.

From the start of the process of selling our home the whole team at Charter Whyman were fabulous. From my initial contact with Simon Walton, the house valuation , professional photos, sales particulars, and the walk through video by Jonathon were all completed in 5 days and we were primed for success . The team didn't disappoint, only sending qualified buyers to view the property, which resulted in fabulous interest and an asking price offer in 14 days (during a pandemic).
Magdalena Lora the Senior Sales Progressor then took over. What can you say about Magdalena, she is the most competent, patient and professional person you could wish to have on your team. When we were given an ultimatum by one of the chain (not me) she rose to the occasion, successfully coordinating and managing all parts of the chain to meet the deadline. We exchanged in just 9 weeks when considering we had a 2 week shut down for Christmas and New year and a new national lock down in the middle is simply amazing.
