Meet the Team

Evan was brought up on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire borders (with parts of Essex and Suffolk on his doorstep as well) and has never managed to escape. He entered estate agency in 1974 and has been dealing with property in those counties ever since – and now Bedfordshire has also entered the equation.

Evan is married to Sue and, proving what a small world this is, their son met a girl from Letchworth while they were both taking their degrees at the University of Leeds and Charter Whyman had the pleasure of selling them a house in Letchworth now that they are married.

Evan enjoys walking, bird watching, reading and listening to music.

 

Favourite food:  Anything - apart from kidneys.

Favourite drink: Varies according to the occasion.

Danny is Hertfordshire born and bred and from a very early age has always been interested in property. Danny is proud of his level of local knowledge for Letchworth Garden City and the surrounding villages. His favourite sport is football, and he plays for a Sunday Team. His favourite position is being in the goal, saving rather than scoring. Another passion Danny has is to sing and his tones have been heard on the BBC.

Andrew was born in Hitchin and spent most of his life living in Letchworth Garden City.

He has worked in the local estate agency world for over 30 years and in this time, he has owned and run several successful sales and lettings offices. His wide expertise and knowledge, coupled with immense likeability, are qualities recognised by his colleagues and his clients.

Andrew is married to Collette and has two lovely children, Lottie and Harvey .

Having been a member of Letchworth Golf club for over 35 years, he does enjoy chasing a little white ball around a large open space!

Jonathan grew up in the Hertfordshire villages then moved to Hitchin with his family where he lived for many years before moving out to the Countryside to pursue his out of work pastimes. 

He has worked within the housing industry for over 30 years and experienced many different marketplaces. Jonathan is a qualified building surveyor and Charter Whyman’s lead Valuer &  Land & Development expert. Many people find him warm, easy to get along with and he prides himself on his honesty and integrity.

Jonathan is married to Lisa, has two lovely children and two cocker spaniels. 

Jonathan loves all things ‘countryside’.  Walking, fishing and shooting are some of Jonathan’s favourite past times as well as his annual skiing trip.

Simon originates from Derbyshire and has lived in Hertfordshire for over 25 years

Simon has worked throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in Estate Agency, for 20 years at Branch Manager level. His knowledge and experience is second to none and he prides himself on looking after his clients and helping them achieve their property ambitions.

Simon is married to Lorraine. Their two children keep them busy!, Emily and her university planning and Charlie and all his activities.

Simon is a keen amateur cyclist, so look out for him exploring the Baldock and the surrounding villages!

 

Favourite food: Italian

 

Favourite tipple: A fine malt whisky

Salim is a true ‘local’ born and raised in Hitchin and has excellent knowledge of the local area.

Salim’s started his property career with Charter Whyman and through his hard work, dedication, attention to detail and professional outlook was quickly promoted to ‘Lettings Manager’.  Since then, Salim has grown the department significantly to one of the busiest rental portfolio’s in Letchworth Garden City and has earned an accreditation from ‘ARLA’ (Association of Residential Letting Agents).

Salim’s passions include his beloved Manchester United and travelling to some of the most interesting and exotic places in the world. Salim’s recent ‘excursions’ include trips to Cuba, The Philippines and St Lucia.

 

Favourite meal: Chicken Naga curry with boiled rice.

 

Favourite Wine: N/A Salim prefers soft drinks. 

Michael has lived in North Hertfordshire all his life, was educated in Hitchin, went to study mechanical engineering at college and spent 14 years with a local international company working in both Europe and the UK.

He then became involved with several small companies and was responsible for expanding these again in Europe and the UK, and later had the opportunity to set up his own company which expanded into fifty outlets and operated as a PLC, with many of the outlets opening in the local area. 

In 2013 he was involved in the setting up of Charter Whyman. He is experienced in business and knows the importance of employing top grade staff and after your clients.

Michael is married with three sons. His own interests include Veteran Car Motoring, walking his dogs and is involved with various local organisations. He is also a Freeman of the City of London.
